“Nice hotel overall, but Hot Food Served in Plastic Bags. I was very surprised by the way hot breakfast items are served. The scrambled eggs and oatmeal are placed in plastic bags. As a Titanium member who has stayed at many Marriott properties, I have never seen hot food served this way. It doesn’t match the quality or presentation I usually associate with the Marriott brand. My main concern is also health-related. Heating food in plastic bags may release microplastics, which doesn’t seem like a good practice for guest well-being. I raised this issue multiple times. I emailed the general manager twice after previous stays and never received a reply. I also mentioned it to her briefly in person, but it doesn’t seem like the hotel plans to change the practice. I contacted Marriott customer service as well—they opened a case but I never received a follow-up, which was disappointing.”

“Stayed here for a long term while relocating. Staff was accommodating and very responsive to requests. Management acted quickly to any very small issues. Breakfast was better than most and we used the outdoor grilling area several times. Staff provided seasoning and even BBQ utensils. Everything was clean and very sanitary.”

I travel a lot, and this hotel is already ranking right up there with some of the best I’ve stayed in and that says a lot. The rooms are A1. They are clean, modern, fresh, and bright, and the beds are VERY comfortable. I also love that the rooms have full kitchens, which makes it feel more like a home than just a hotel. The lobby is absolutely impeccable, everything is well kept and welcoming. And I have to shout out Mary at the front desk (I believe she’s the manager). She was so kind, warm, and welcoming from the moment I walked in. That kind of service makes a huge difference. Even though I just checked in, I can already tell this is going to be a wonderful stay. I highly recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Auburn.”
